Veterans Day 2011

I come from a family where service was part of my upbringing. We've had a member of our family tree serve in every War since the American Revolution.

 

I spent 4 years in the Air Force and 10 with the Department of Defense in an early part of my life and benefit from the lessons learned every day.

 

I take this day to reflect on "Why" I get to do what I get to do.

 

And then I spend much of the day in appreciation, just being grateful.

 

Wanted to publicly say.... THANKS! to those who sacrifice either some time in their life or their life itself so that we can pursue the advantages this country offers.

 

I will take some time later today to lay flowers at my local cemetery.
